My Story

Since childhood, I have expressed myself best through writing. But I didn't listen to my inner voice until 1987,

when I changed my major to journalism at Oakland University.

I have since parlayed my skills into a successful 36-year career in Detroit and Phoenix, writing about the Rolling Stones landing in Waterford, Michigan; sibling heart transplant patients; parents whose son died by suicide in the military, and the promise of a Hamas captivity survivor, among other topics. 
I consider every opportunity to be a learning experience and a challenge.
